Becoming a Farmers' Market stall holder

I've never run a market stall but would like to join a Farmers' Market?

Many farmers and producers have no experience in running a market stall. It's really not difficult particularly if you like meeting people and follow a few simple rules.

First you'll need to check you're eligible, each individual market organiser will be able to provide you with the markets criteria. Example Farmers' Markets criteria (from Made In Stroud Ltd)
Then fill out a stall holder application form (example Word doc), which the organiser will provide and send it back to them.
Make sure you've read our food safety policy guidelines and if necessary contact your local authority environmental health department for further advice.  For advice on labeling and weights and measures contact Trading Standards.
Why not come along to a "Welcome Farmer" course, especially if you've not run a market stall before or are feeling nervous.
If you've any questions or would like some advice before attending your first market give us a call in the office on 01453 758060 - we're always happy to help out.
