Becoming a Farmers' Market stall holder

I've never run a market stall but would like to join a Farmers' Market

Many farmers and producers have no experience in running a market stall. It's really not difficult particularly if you like meeting people and follow a few simple rules.

First you'll need to check you're eligible.

Check Fresh-n-Local Farmers' Markets criteria.

Then fill out a stall holder application form.

Make sure you've read our food safety policy guidelines and if necessary contact your local authority environmental health department for further advice.  For advice on labeling and weights and measures contact Trading Standards.

Consider whether you need any training. There's lots of courses available in the local area, in both food hygiene and health and safety, and you may be eligible for extra funding.
If you've any questions or would like some advice before attending your first market give us a call in the office on 01453 758060 - we're always happy to help out.
