Friday 3rd December 2010

Gloucester farmers market. 9am to 3pm. Genuine local produce direct from the grower. Winter warmers, Thai snacks, organic salt marsh beef burgers, ready meals, locally grown fresh vegetables, seriously good meat, order free range Christmas poultry, Slimbridge soaps, locally grown orchids and more.

Friday Evening, 3rd December 2010 Stroud Goodwill Evening Traditional Christmas Market Held in Cornhill market place, Stroud, 4pm to 9pm. With beautiful music from local singing groups, schools & community choirs. 35 stalls. Market cafe, organic burgers, Thai food, mulled wine from Selsley Herb & Spice Co, fairly traded and directly imported gifts and local food and drink. Loads or origianl and ethical Christmas gift ideas, lovely atmosphere

Saturday 4th December - 9am to 2pm. The usual bumper farmers market with over 50 stalls of fantastic foods and crafts. Order your free range Christmas poultry now!

Sunday 5th December - Swindon farmers market with 20 stalls including locally made glass beads, Neustift soft goats cheese, planters, hot dogs and burgers, breads and cakes, christmas wreaths and all your favourite. Order your free range Christmas poultry now. 10am to 4pm

Thursday 9th December Last chance to shop at Stow on the Wold farmers' market before Christmas. 9am to 1pm in the square. With 15 stalls including Simon Weaver's cheeses, Donnington trout, Hollyoak orchids, Newtown Wines, Foxbury Farm, Slimbridge Soaps and all your favourites.

Friday 10th December - Gloucester farmers market 9am to 3pm. With lots of stalls including Madgett's Farm free range chicken, ducks and geese, and all your favourites. Look out for buskers and singers!

Saturday 11th December - Stroud farmers market 9am to 2pm. With 50 + stalls including locally grown Christmas trees, table decorations from Julian Harvard, wreaths, holly and Mistletoe

Sunday 12th December - Swindon farmers market 10am to 4pm with 25 stalls including Warcop Ales, Wiltshire Cheeses and honey, Hollyoak orchids,Saira's South Asian savories, wreaths, free range Christmas poultry and all your favourites.

Thursday 16th December Lechlade Farmers Market in the town centre

Friday 17th December Gloucester Christmas farmers' market 9am to 3pm with 25 stalls including HG Green cheese, the Pieminister, Ruddle Court cheeses, Hollyoak orchids, Slimbridge Soaps and more.

Saturday 18th December - Stroud farmers' market and Threadneedle Christmas Flea Market with choirs singing traditional carols With 60 stalls. 9am to 2pm.with Christmas trees, and all the regular stalls. Buy your Christmas greenery from Stroud's Inishfree project including mistletoe and holly. A day not to be missed!

Sunday 19th December - Swindon farmers market 10am to 4pm with 25 stalls including goat's cheese, country wines, fresh vegetables, turkeys and ducks and chickens, wreaths, holly and mistletoe, Christmas cakes, and all your favourites.

Thursday 23rd December - Stroud Christmas farmers' market and Threadneedle Christmas Flea Market 9am to 2pm - last chance to buy fresh and local Christmas fayre and collect your orders from Madgett's Farm.

Friday 24th December - Christmas Eve -Gloucester Christmas farmers' market 9am to 2pm - last chance to buy fresh and local Christmas fayre and collect your free range poultry orders from Madgett's Farm.

Then no markets for 2 weeks

Markets resume as normal on Friday 7th January in Gloucester, Saturday 8th January in Stroud, Sunday 9th January in Swindon, Thursday 13th January in Stow on the Wold.

For the very freshest Christmas produce, from sprout stalks to sweet parsnips, Christmas puddings to delicious apple juice, wine and real ale, come along to a farmers market this Christmas. Don't forget to order your free range goose, duck or chicken early from the stallholders to avoid disappointment.

Our new range of fairly traded market tea-towels are now on sale at the markets alongside our re-usable shopping bags - an ideal gift and easy to post.

Throughout the month we will be having special entertainments at the markets, and hope local singing groups will join us at Swindon and Gloucester to add to the festive cheer.
